Khan Design's Freelander 2 also uses the new Land Rover Freelander 2

The project Khan Freelander 2 adds 20" RS-C alloy (or chrome) rims and a few changes on the exterior as well as the interior features. The interior is provided with leather seats, word steering wheels, revised trim (with some optional high gloss grand Black Lacquer Finish) and of course it will not be complete without its in-car video entertainment system.

Khan Design's Freelander 2 also uses the new Land Rover Freelander 2 factory performance body kit which is not yet officially introduced yet by Land Rover but most UK dealers have them already in their showrooms and are being offered with the rest of high quality Rover Freelander parts.

2011 The Defender X-Tech Limited Edition

With the vast range of models and specs on offer it may be a little daunting to the first time buyer. However don't be overwhelmed by the choices, because visiting a good specialist used Land Rover dealership means that you will be able to talk through your requirements with experienced sales staff who can advise on the model that best suits your needs. This applies to any used vehicle, and a specialist dealership should be your first port of call to avoid disappointedly kicking the tyres of a rust bucket that looks nothing like the "good as new, one careful lady owner" car that you were expecting.

As I was only borrowing this particular used Land Rover Defender for a few hours, I thought it prudent to avoid any off-road adventures. However travelling the back roads made it clear that the advances in technology have only served to enhance the performance of the Defender. I barely felt a jolt as I mounted the grass at the side of a single-lane country road in order to let another driver pass. And whilst I may love the classic models, one can't exactly pretend that they provide the most comfortable of rides over rougher terrain. The improved suspension of the updated Defender meant that even a vicious-looking pothole evoked merely a shrug from the vehicle.

The 2010 LR4 has been updated for the best all-terrain performance with the Dynamic Stability Control System and an updated Terrain Response; allowing the LR4 5L V8 to surpass the luxury, sport, as well as the engine capacity of the LR3. The 2010 offers an option of the 5L V8 375hp as well as the 510bhp supercharged engine providing two light weight engines that don't drain the gas you would think. All in all, the added power just makes the LR4 a heck of a lot of fun to drive in all types of terrain.

Land Rover Defender 90 Yachting Edition

It's really just a name change to distinguish its line of models that became increasingly necessary to do in the 80s. When LandRover ended its Series III line of 4WD off road SUVs in 1983, it did just that with the introduction of the Land Rover 90 3-door model and 110 5-door station wagon models based on wheelbase lengths.

Finished in a bright white color, the Defender 90 Yachting Edition rolls on 16-inch alloys wrapped around in wider tires measuring 267/75 R16. Complementing the 4x4's looks are new running boards with integrated entrance lights that are activated via the keyless fob or by opening one of the doors, an SVX grille and body-colored headlight covers.

2011 The Land Rover Defender

The iconic British marque Land Rover sports the familiar profile that has been in the minds of the general public since it started in 1948. For about 37 years, they went through minimal styling changes from its Series I through Series III and never really ended with the last Series III rolling of the Solihull factory in 1985.

Cruising its way to the Essen Motor Show floors, is the sea-flavored Land Rover Defender 90 Yachting Edition, created by Brabus affiliate Startech. And while it ain't an amphibious off-roader, this Defender takes its styling inspiration from -you guessed it- maritime themes.
