While it doesn't have as good a cargo capacity when the rear seat is in place, its aggressive looks that keep up with the Caliber's in-your-face exterior. If you want to stick with an American make, the Chevy HHR offers retro good looks and more cargo and passenger space, though it starts at about $2,000 more than the Caliber.
